1. About Us and These Terms
Teguh Bicara is a law firm registered in Malaysia, providing legal services for pension and retirement matters. Our registered address is Jalan Sultan Ismail 88, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website at teguhbicara.biz and the provision of our legal services. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you are acting on behalf of another person, by accepting these terms you confirm that you have authority to do so, and that the other person is also bound by these terms.
2. Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational purposes. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, nor does it create a solicitor-client relationship. A formal engagement letter is required before any legal services are rendered.
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that breaches applicable Malaysian law or regulation.
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material.
- Knowingly transmit any data, software, or material containing viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related infrastructure.
- Reproduce, copy, or distribute any content on this website for commercial purposes without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw access to this website at any time without notice, for operational or legal reasons.
3. Services We Provide
Teguh Bicara offers the following legal services for pension matters:
- Retirement Records Review (RM 230): A thorough review of pension statements and employment records to confirm entitlement and identify any discrepancies, with a clear written summary of findings and suggested next steps.
- Dispute Representation (RM 640): Legal correspondence, negotiation, and representation before relevant authorities where a pension amount is withheld or contested.
- Full Pension Protection Package (RM 1,650): A comprehensive service covering documentation, nominee arrangements, scheduled reviews, family member support, and ongoing lawyer access for follow-up matters.
The scope of each service is set out in the engagement letter provided to you before work commences. We will not perform work outside the agreed scope without your prior approval.
We provide legal services only in relation to matters governed by Malaysian law. We do not accept engagements for matters outside our area of practice without informing you first.
4. Engagement and Fees
Our services commence only upon your acceptance of an engagement letter and, where applicable, receipt of the agreed fee or deposit. Quoted fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of our professional charges unless stated otherwise.
Fees do not include disbursements such as court filing fees, courier charges, or third-party agency fees, which will be itemised separately and communicated to you in advance.
Payment terms are as specified in the engagement letter. Where a service is not completed due to circumstances outside our control — such as late or incomplete documents provided by the client — fees already incurred for work performed remain payable.
Prices published on this website are indicative and may be updated. The confirmed fee applicable to your matter will be set out in writing before work begins.
5. Client Responsibilities
To allow us to assist you effectively, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information and documentation as requested.
- Inform us promptly of any change in circumstances that may affect your matter.
- Respond to our communications within a reasonable timeframe.
- Not provide false or misleading information in connection with your engagement.
We are not liable for delays or adverse outcomes arising from late, incomplete, or inaccurate information provided by you or a third party on your behalf.
6. Confidentiality
All information you share with us in connection with a legal matter is treated as confidential and subject to legal professional privilege. We will not disclose your information to third parties except:
- Where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a direction from the Bar Council Malaysia.
- Where necessary to act on your instructions — for example, corresponding with EPF, a former employer, or a regulatory authority on your behalf.
- With your explicit prior consent.
Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Intellectual Property

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish any part of this website without our written permission. Unauthorised use may give rise to legal claims.
Documents, letters, and legal work product prepared for your engagement remain our intellectual property until fees are settled in full, at which point ownership transfers to you for the purposes of your matter.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a service engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
12. Changes to These Terms
